The GAC GA4 Shows Outstanding Performance at Petron Kalayaan Cup 12-Hour Endurance Race Series | Motourismo

GAC Motor Racing Team bags 5 trophies which includes 2022 Kalayaan Cup 6-hour race Open A and Open B Championship, 2022 Kalayaan Cup 12-hour race Open A and Open B 1st Runner Up. The team also won as the Overall 1st Runner Up for the 2022 Petron Kalayaan Cup.

After an adrenaline-filled day at the racetrack, GAC Motor Philippines has once again proven that its GA4 compact sedan has the staying power to take home top honours in this year’s Petron Kalayaan Cup 12 HR Endurance Race Challenge Series held last June 12, 2022 at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga. 

The compact sedan took home a total of 5 trophies, which include:

• 6 hours - Open A Champion

• 6 hours - Open B Champion

• 12 hours - Open A 1st Runner Up

• 12 hours - Open B 1st Runner Up

• Overall - 1st Runner Up

Piloted by a host of drivers led by Brennan S. Lim, GAC Motor Philippines Deputy CEO, the GAC GA4 was able to complete the race with 279 laps around the track in 12:02:34.178. It even returned a best time of 2:21:542.

Beyond statistics, however, the latest victory once again proves that the GA4 has what it takes to not only win endurance races but likewise endure demanding driving conditions such as the daily commute and long road trips out of town. Its 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with DCVVT variable valve timing technology packs 113hp and 138Nm of torque–numbers that are more than adequate for most driving conditions. 

Targeted at upwardly mobile young professionals, the GA4 offers a host of amenities that include an 8-inch infotainment display, a 360-degree camera system, and a moonroof, just to name a few. All these not only make it a competitive choice in today’s tech-savvy market. They also allow users to stay in touch and enjoy the drive whether on the daily drive or out on the open road.
